Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data the Calumet mobile app ("Calumet", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. Calumet is developed by an independent developer operating under the calumet-fit.com domain.
Data stored on your device
By default, all of your Calumet data — your profile, workouts, logged sets, exercise maxes, effort scores, training load history, recommendations, and templates — is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. We do not receive, see, or store this data unless you explicitly enable account sync.
Health and fitness data
If you connect a wearable or health data source (such as Android Health Connect, Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit, or Whoop), Calumet reads specific data types to power its coaching features, including:
- Exercise/workout sessions
- Heart rate and resting heart rate
- Calories burned
This data is read to calculate effort scores and training-load-based recommendations. It is processed on your device and is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than powering Calumet's coaching features.
Optional account sync
If you choose to create a Calumet account to back up or sync your data across devices, we store the minimum data necessary to provide that feature: your account credentials (email and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text) and an encrypted or access-controlled copy of your workout data. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't require an account to use the core app.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored data stays on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. If you use account sync, you can request deletion of your cloud-stored data at any time by emailing us; we will delete it within 30 days.
Third-party services
Calumet may use third-party wearable platforms (e.g. Health Connect) strictly to read the data types described above, subject to the permissions you grant on your device. We do not control those platforms' own data practices — refer to their privacy policies for details on how they handle your data.
Children's privacy
Calumet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
